Rat Care Sheet

Behavior: Rats are very smart and make great pets and they can be taught to do tricks. They need lots of exercise and are pretty clean too.

Handling: Always pick your Rat up with both hands. Never pick them up by their tail.

Housing: A large aquarium is best for them so they can have plenty of room to play. Avoid wire cages.

Bedding: CareFresh Bedding cuts the odor down. Another alternative is Alfalfa Pellets.

Training: Rats can be taught to be Potty Trained. If you put a small litter box in the corner of their cage, they most likely will start using it.

Toys: Climbing Toys, Exercise Wheels, Tubes Chew Toys.

Diet: Rodent Blocks and Fresh Fruits and Veggies.

Water: Must have fresh water everyday.
